MWHF HOUSING | 3004 V ST - 2623 Z ST

These single-family homes at 3004 V Street and 2623 Z Street were developed in partnership with Canopy South,  as part of a shared mission to strengthen homeownership opportunities in South Omaha.

Funding for both projects was made possible through the Midwest Housing Development Fund (MWHF), supporting long-term affordability and reinvestment in historically under-resourced neighborhoods.

Designed in association with B2lab Architecture and constructed by Macondo, the homes reflect a streamlined and community-responsive approach, pairing efficient design with local contractor participation.

This work is part of a broader strategy to expand access to quality housing while creating equitable pathways for small builders in the region.

CIT | Home of HWS

This project was developed in partnership with Canopy South as part of the Community Investment Trust (CIT), a model designed to promote community ownership and economic empowerment in South Omaha.

Designed by B2Lab architecture and built by Macondo, the space now serves as the home of Heartland Workforce Solutions (HWS), offering critical services in employment, training, and workforce development. The project reflects a shared commitment to inclusive development, thoughtful design, and long-term neighborhood impact.

3031 Upland Parkway

Located at 3031 Upland Parkway, this project serves as the new headquarters for Canopy South, a nonprofit leading place-based community revitalization in South Omaha.

Designed by AO and built by Macondo, the space was developed to support Canopy’s expanding programs and staff while anchoring their work directly within the neighborhood they serve. The project combines adaptive design, community presence, and long-term functionality in a space built for impact.

Private Residence Retreat

This private residence was envisioned as a wellness retreat—a sanctuary for rest, reflection, and connection to nature. Thoughtfully integrated into its surroundings, the design emphasizes balance, natural materials, and spatial calm.

Designed by B2lab architecture Built by Macondo, the project blends high-quality craftsmanship with intentional detailing to support a restorative living experience. Every element—from layout to finishes—was curated to promote wellbeing and retreat-like comfort in a residential setting.

This private residence was envisioned as a contemporary home that blends comfort, simplicity, and lasting quality.

Designed by B2Lab and built by Macondo, the project features clean lines, abundant natural light, and carefully selected materials that support both elegance and ease of living. The result is a warm, modern space that reflects thoughtful design and skilled execution.

5111 N 106th St

This multifamily residence was designed to meet the unique needs of families caring for children with special needs—bringing together thoughtful architecture, accessibility, and a supportive living environment.

Designed by B2Lab and built by Macondo, the project navigated complex programmatic and site challenges to deliver a space that balances durability, comfort, and adaptability. Features include accessible layouts, sensory-friendly finishes, and flexible common areas intended to foster both independence and care.

The result is more than housing—it’s a place designed to support dignity, safety, and family well-being.

Intercultural Senior Center
Room of Colors

The “Room of Colors” is a specialized addition to the Intercultural Senior Center, designed to support seniors experiencing dementia and cognitive decline through an environment tailored to stimulation, comfort, and safety.

Designed by B2Lab and built by Macondo, the addition is part of a broader effort to create culturally sensitive, therapeutic environments that enhance quality of life for aging adults in our community.

This project reflects a shared commitment to inclusive care, dignity in design, and thoughtful construction for all stages of life.

Private Residence

This project involved a full remodel and thoughtfully integrated addition to a private residence, transforming the existing structure into a more functional, open, and refined living space.

Designed by B2Lab and built by Macondo, the scope included reconfigured interior layouts, updated systems, and a seamless expansion that honors the home’s original character while enhancing comfort and flow. High-quality finishes and careful detailing complete the transformation, resulting in a space tailored to modern living.

Saffron Urban Indian Kitchen

A full interior transformation of a former restaurant space into a contemporary South Asian dining experience. Designed by B2Lab and built by Macondo, the renovation focused on reimagining spatial flow, integrating bold materiality, and upgrading all systems to meet current codes and performance standards.

Custom finishes, a reconfigured kitchen layout, and thoughtfully crafted architectural elements elevate the guest experience while supporting efficient operations. The result is a warm, modern environment that reflects both cultural richness and urban sophistication.

Cumbia Latinamerican Tapas Bar

A vibrant hospitality project designed and built by Macondo, Cumbia brings together the spirit of Latin American street food and the intimacy of a neighborhood tapas bar.

The design blends warm textures, playful colors, and layered lighting to create an inviting atmosphere rooted in cultural expression. From custom bar millwork to integrated seating nooks, every detail was crafted to support both functionality and ambiance. The result is a dynamic space where food, music, and design come together in celebration.
